Eliot Bu is a New York–based writer/director with longstanding ties to Hawai‘i, where he lived for a decade. Through 322films, he directs short films and is developing a slate of features centered on people facing emotional and moral dilemmas.

His work explores intimate relationships under pressure from family, power, history, and expectation. He is drawn to what language cannot quite reach: the feeling beneath a decision, the pressure inside a choice, and the moment something unspoken becomes visible.
